Keungling is responsible for overseeing the firm’s audit and assurance practice. She has significant experience in construction, real estate, as well as a strong background of servicing businesses in many other industries. Her vast experience affords her varied client base a practical approach to solving their financial needs. Keungling understands that accounting issues must be solved in a timely manner and that all appropriate solutions need to be explored. Keungling is dedicated to provide clients with unparalleled customer service by placing communication and honesty as her top priorities.
Prior to co-founding Lee & Nieda LLP, Keungling was a partner at a local CPA firm, where she led the firm’s audit practice and managed the daily operations of the firm. She began her accounting career with The GEO Group, Inc. (formerly Wackenhut Corrections Corporation) where she quickly rose through the ranks, becoming an accounting manager in one of South Florida’s largest publicly traded companies.
Keungling’s diverse professional background in private industry, along with her public accounting career of more than 20 years, provides her with a solid foundation for successfully servicing her clients’ financial reporting and business advisory needs.
In her free time, Keungling enjoys reading, travelling, and spending time with her family on South Florida’s beautiful beaches.
Danny is responsible for overseeing the firm’s tax practice. He has significant experience in tax planning, tax compliance, business consulting, and valuation services for a broad range of clients and industries. Danny has a hands-on approach that enables him to speak the client’s language, allowing him to explain complex tax matters using understandable terms. Danny’s practical approach allows him to work efficiently with clients to develop solutions to challenging business issues.
Prior to co-founding Lee & Nieda LLP, Danny was a manager at a local CPA firm, where he specialized in tax and accounting services to construction companies. Danny began his accounting career with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he was a manager in the mergers & acquisitions tax practice in New York City. During his time with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Daniel worked with multinational corporations and private equity firms in the areas of tax due diligence, company restructurings, post-merger integrations, and tax planning for acquisitions and divestitures. Prior to joining the M&A tax practice in New York, Danny worked in the firm’s Miami office, where he provided tax compliance and consulting services to clients in various industries.
Danny’s background and experience, spanning over a decade, uniquely qualifies him to provide solutions to complex tax matters to all types of clients, ranging from individuals to multinationals, and everything in between. Danny is focused on developing tax strategies for his clients and staying on top of the constant changes in the tax law. Danny has previously lectured at accounting industry conferences on various subject matters, more specifically on the taxation of construction companies.
In his free time, Danny enjoys rooting for his beloved Miami Dolphins and Miami Hurricanes along with his wife Maureen, his son Danny and daughter Isabel.
Miguel (“Mike”) Juncadella brings decades of experience as a trusted advisor to countless businesses and individuals. Mike specializes in IRS practice and client representations, domestic & international tax planning and compliance, and employee benefits. He has diversified experience in industries such as real estate, retailing and wholesale distribution, and professionals such as physicians and lawyers.
Prior to combining his firm with Lee & Nieda LLP, Mike was a co-founder and tax practice leader of a prominent local CPA firm. He began his distinguished career as a CPA, working at the Internal Revenue Service in Miami, Florida, first as an Internal Revenue Agent and later as an Appeals Officer. As an IRS agent, Mike was involved with the civil tax examinations of businesses and individuals. He also worked closely with the Criminal Investigation Division of the IRS in the investigation of individuals and businesses in cases involving unreported income and tax fraud resulting from drug trafficking and other criminal activities. As an IRS Appeals Officer, Mr. Juncadella was responsible for the settlement of complex IRS disputes resulting from unagreed cases at the examination level. After his tenure at the IRS, Mike joined Price Waterhouse as a Tax Manager, where he supervised the tax matters of a diversified group of local, national, and international clients.
In his free time, Mike enjoys travelling and spending quality time with his family.
Alicia oversees all tax compliance matters at the firm. She has over 25 years of experience in the public accounting sector, including financial accounting, tax compliance, tax consulting, and business consulting. Alicia has represented many clients in Internal Revenue Service audits with a successful rating in the higher-tier percentiles. Alicia specializes in construction taxation and has been a lecturer on the topic for many years at various professional events, including many presentations at the AICPA Construction & Real Estate Conference and the FICPA Construction Industry Conference. Alicia has vast knowledge in the area of tax accounting methods and elections for contractors, and the tax analysis of construction work-in-progress schedules.
Prior to joining Lee & Nieda LLP, Alicia was a tax partner at a local CPA Firm where she was responsible for managing the firm’s tax practice. In addition to her experience in all aspects of tax compliance and tax planning, Alicia has expertise in the field of the estate, gift, and trust tax and accounting matters.
In her free time, Alicia enjoys watching her two sons play baseball and listening to music. Cycling is part of her daily routine as she has a strong focus on exercise and fitness in her busy life.
Dayron specializes in audit and assurance services for the firm. With more than 11 years of experience in audit and assurance, Dayron has developed, executed, and supervised audit plans for clients nationally and internationally and established himself as a thought leader in the field. Prior to joining Lee & Nieda, LLP, Dayron worked in leadership roles for several National firms in Florida and opened his own practice, serving businesses throughout Miami, Broward and the Southern Florida area.
Dayron has led initiatives to develop unique approaches to audit methodology and testing, streamline documentation and standardize processes and automation for the preparation and presentation of financial information. He has leant his expertise to businesses in several sectors, including construction, real estate, engineering, retail, hospitality, and e-commerce, helping his clients track their financial performance and analyze key metrics to make important business decisions.
Dayron’s professional philosophy centers on treating clients as business partners. He believes this is the best way to build trust and open communication, so all financial information is correctly accounted for. He shares the same entrepreneurial mindset as his clients and has a proven track record of creating strong and long-lasting relationships with them. Dayron enjoys spending time with his kids, traveling, running, and antique cars in his free time.
